New article on Cheryl Miller in “Retrofan Magazine” by Yours Truly

Ken and I are excited to announce that Retrofan Magazine commissioned us to write an article on Cheryl Miller. Retrofan is a premier print publication covering favorite TV shows. When I noticed they had never written on Daktari, I pitched an article on Cheryl Miller and they accepted. I then immediately reached out to Ken as our resident expert on Daktari to write the article with me.
Although we reached out to Cheryl on two occasions, we were not able to talk with her. However, I did make contact with Ralph Helfer and got quotes and photos from him.
You can buy a digital or print copy here: https://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=98_152&products_id=1704

At last! “Mountain Man” (1976) a.k.a. “Guardian of the Wilderness” starring Cheryl Miller

Screenshot_2022-05-27_163925Our friend Walter came through with a big one! Many of us have wanted to see Cheryl’s best film, “Mountain Man,” now retitled “Guardian of the Wilderness.” Denver Pyle plays Galen Clark whose efforts led to the creation of Yosemite National Park, the first protected land in the nation. Cheryl plays his daughter Kathleen, and Ken Berry her husband.

Screenshot_2022-05-27_163547I really enjoyed this film about one man’s efforts in overcoming many obstacles to declare Yosemite as the first public grant. His love of nature created the National Park System. I hope you enjoy it too.

Thank you, Walter!

One of Cheryl Miller’s last TV appearances

Monster Squad S1E11 The Weatherman4And this one is goofy! Our friend Ken writes, ” It’s Cheryl Miller’s sixth last (and pretty outlandish) appearance which aired in November 1976.  It was also probably the start of her realization that her film/TV career was close to ending. ”

Cheryl appears at the 6:25 mark.

I also came across this interesting link that features lots of pictures and information about Cheryl Milller – https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=cheryl+miller+actress&stid=a066f886-314a-df5e-0a82-46d9976159c5&cbn=EntityAnswer&first=1&disoverlay=1

Cheryl Miller featured on Barnaby Jones episode; plus a rare Marshall Thompson film

Our intrepid contributors, Ken and Walter, have shared with me some new links to programs featuring our favorite Daktari stars.

From Ken is a link to a TV movie starring Marshall Thompson called “The Fall of the House of Usher,: filmed in 1956:

And from Walter is an episode of Barnaby Jones, Season 3, Episode 03, “The Challenge.” Her part is small, but done well. There is a scene at the beginning and at the 21-minute mark:
