- Ken and I are excited to announce that Retrofan Magazine commissioned us to write an article on Cheryl Miller. Retrofan is a premier print publication covering favorite TV shows. When I noticed they had never written on Daktari, I pitched an article on Cheryl Miller and they accepted. I then immediately reached out to Ken as our resident expert on Daktari to write the article with me.
- Although we reached out to Cheryl on two occasions, we were not able to talk with her. However, I did make contact with Ralph Helfer and got quotes and photos from him.

Our friend Walter came through with a big one! Many of us have wanted to see Cheryl’s best film, “Mountain Man,” now retitled “Guardian of the Wilderness.” Denver Pyle plays Galen Clark whose efforts led to the creation of Yosemite National Park, the first protected land in the nation. Cheryl plays his daughter Kathleen, and Ken Berry her husband.
I really enjoyed this film about one man’s efforts in overcoming many obstacles to declare Yosemite as the first public grant. His love of nature created the National Park System. I hope you enjoy it too.

And this one is goofy! Our friend Ken writes, ” It’s Cheryl Miller’s sixth last (and pretty outlandish) appearance which aired in November 1976. It was also probably the start of her realization that her film/TV career was close to ending. ”
